We started using Stop Motion Pro whilst studying at the University of Glamorgan. When we first started learning the basics of stop motion It was great software to use because the controls are so simple and quick to pick up.
As our projects got more ambitious, we started to make use of SMP’s more advanced features. While we’re animating on our film ‘Opening Night’ we’ve been using green screens to digitally extend sets. The live Chroma key tool allows us to visualise the effect as we work, which is really helpful. Also the DOP and full resolution view tools are great for fine tuning the images and raising the quality of our work.
