Stop Motion Pro and the success our school has enjoyed due to its ease of use and multiple features. We began a small digital animation program in 2005 with little prior information or knowledge of the medium.

 After many trial runs of freeware and other products, we chose Stop Motion Pro due to its simple and user-friendly qualities. Over the years, we have taken advantage some of the more advanced tools such as onion skin and rotoscope, bringing our animated films to new creative levels.

Currently, film animation has been fully incorporated in to our school curriculum, and not limited in use to the visual arts due to its integration and adoption as an interdisciplinary tool. Students learn the craft in the art room, but extend their film subjects to include social studies, math, science and language arts. They also become familiar with film editing techniques and file management as a result their work in digital imaging. Work is showcased at several film festivals and receives rave reviews from staff and students. Our student population of over 1200 has given this addition to the art program a resounding thumbs up, always excited when it is their time to have art. We appreciate the on line support and continuous updating of the software and look forward to many more animated film adventures.
