Stop Motion Pro, Animation Supplies UK and Mark Roberts Rigs (Mr Moco) ran a stop motion showcase for new technology at MIFA, Annecy 2012.
Demonstrations of how to plan and execute motion control shots we shown live. The ability to preview test moves instantly was a highlight. The Mark Roberts team was on hand and showed how it was possible to integrate "moco" into your stop motion productions.
Ross Garner from Stop Motion Pro demonstrated new and existing features in Stop Motion Pro, the software used to film the latest Aardman blockbuster, "Pirates! Band of Misfits".
An array of armatures from Animation Supplies UK was set up so people could try out these professional grade armatures. Andy, the founder of Animation Supplies was there to discuss puppet requirements directly.
Also on display was an incredibly intricate set built by the amazing Gilles Sorlin. The set and puppets were be part of a setup where it was possible to animate with Stop Motion Pro fist hand!
