I thought it would be possible to use the Frame Painter with the Rotoscope tool and so with a drawing tablet draw some animation directly into the software, but this option is not active unless I have some frames in the timeline and doesn't seem to interact with the Rotoscope tool at all so I'm guessing I'm wanting it to do something it can't?

I just purchased a Canon EOS 1100D camera for use with SMP. I get the live view feed OK, but when I take the first photo I get a message dialog box saying the camera has shutdown. The battery was fully charged, the cable connection correct (I could use the native EOS utility to control the camera without issue), and I disabled the camera's auto power off function in case that had something to do with it. As I noted, the native control program works consistently without issue, but SMP sees the camera and takes the liveview feed OK - and then has issues when the first photo is initiated. I'm confused!!!!!
